Born in Winnipeg, AnneBruce Falconer now resides in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, where she specializes in the design and handcrafting of Teddy Bears made from vintage fur and recycled material. She works in the antique style, inspired by president Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt, which is where the name comes from.

AnneBruce has always been interested in the textile arts. The decision to apply this talent to the making of bears was inspired by a visit to the Ba ren le se Teddy Bear exhibit in Vienna in 1992.

Ms. Falconer works exclusively in recycled fur, wool, clothing and accessories. She has developed individual designs and personal technique to adapt to these materials. She makes a limited number every year, so that each bear has a unique quality.

All bears are tagged and numbered for identification as collector’s items. A.Bruce Bear now sells across Canada, Europe, and Asia to International prestige. In Canada her clients include The Fur Council of Canada and The McCord Museum of Canadian History.
